Bob Lybarger

Executive Director:
Bob Lybarger
Bob joined the team in January of 2017.  Bob has his MBA and previously was the Vice President of Operations for a multi-state respiratory medical company. In Bob’s career, he has owned and operated two successful companies; Legacy Medical Equipment and Fidelity’s First Choice, both being based in Troy, Ohio, that were sold to national providers. Bob is also an associate Pastor at Troy First United Methodist Church in Troy. He is married to Janet and has a daughter Becca and a son Robby. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family and two dogs. Bob also has a passion for missions both locally and internationally in Nicaragua.



Shelly Calvert, Board MemberDirector of Business Development:
Shelly Calvert joined Isaiah's Place July of 2017 with 10 years of experience in business development and 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing, content writing, social media and grant writing. She is a graduate from The Ohio State University with BA in journalism and public relations.

Shelly began the Troy-based non-profit We Love Birthday Parties in 2015 to help spread love through the simple joy of birthday parties for children with limited opportunities. Isaiah's Place recently added We Love Birthday Parties to its line of services as a community outreach program, so Shelly works full-time to help market and develop both non-profits. She is living out her passion to help children in need.

As a Troy native, she returned to her hometown to consult and freelance after working for six years in downtown Columbus PR agencies. Shelly also was the director of development for Troy Christian Schools, and the marketing and events coordinator for Troy Main Street. Shelly is married to Paul Calvert, and together they have two college-age children, two dogs and an old grumpy cat. She loves small town life, gardening, reading, biking and writing as often as possible.


Marie Hughes, Executive AssistantExecutive Assistant:
Marie Hughes returned to Isaiah's Place in March 2014 as an Executive Assistant. She was employed with Isaiah's Place from 2007 to 2012 as an electronic communication manager and trainer. Marie earned her Bachelor's degree from God's Bible School and College in Cincinnati, Ohio. Marie enjoys spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She also enjoys playing piano, singing, knitting and sewing.






Mara Howell, Case SpecialistCase Specialist/Billing/Placements:
Mara Howell has been with Isaiah's Place since January 2013. She is a Case Specialist while also helping in other areas, such as Placements, Billing, and IT. She graduated from Franklin Monroe High School and attended the University of Rio Grande, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree. While at Rio Grande, Mara was a multi-sport collegiate athlete. She enjoys spending time with her family, sports, music, traveling and reading.







Molly Snow, LicensingLicensing Specialist, Training Supervisor and Financial Coordinator:
Molly Snow has been with the agency since the Spring of 2009 working as a Case Specialist, Placements, Licensing, Director of Licensing and Training and now Financial Coordinator. She is an Adoption Assessor for the State of Ohio.  Molly has her BS in Psychology from Urbana University and has previous experience in Children Services working in the Intake and Investigations Unit.  She is pursuing a graduate degree through Liberty University in professional counseling.  Molly is married to Dustin, has a daughter Eden, a son Kamdyn, and two dogs, Harley and Brady.  In her free time Molly enjoys playing softball, reading and spending time with her family.




Mary Jean Carpenter, Clinical Director at Isaiah's PlaceClinical Director, Mary Jean Carpenter
Originally from New York, MJ moved to Ohio where she was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. After retiring from the military, MJ went on to obtain her Masters in Social Work from The Ohio State University. She has been licensed through the Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board since 2008.

MJ has been a contracted Mental Health Counselor and Early Childhood Behavior Specialist. She joined the Isaiah's Place team on October 10, 2017, bringing on board mental health and therapeutic services for Isaiah's Place foster families.

MJ is married and has a college-aged daughter. She enjoys riding her motorcycle, kayaking, diving and world travel.


Tommy Henderson, Case SpecialistTommy Henderson, Case Specialist
Tommy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Kaplan University. With an experienced background in the foster care industry, Tommy and his wife have fostered more than 25 children of their own. While he began his work experience in the construction industry, Tommy transitioned into human services when he was influenced by the kids at the Alpha Community Center in Sidney, where he spent many hours as a volunteer. Tommy has become a well-known figure at the Alpha Center, and has been a major influence there for the past 25 years. He is a pastor of his own church as well as pastoring at the center. 

He joined Isaiah’s Place in January of 2018, bringing his passion for foster families, his training experience, and his love for serving the community.

Tommy has been married for 41 years to Betty, and together they have five children and five grandchildren. His hobbies include fishing and making amazing bar-b-que and mac ’n cheese. He even has his own original sauce called T-Man’s bar-b-que sauce.



Nate Green Trainer and Case Specialist:
Nate Green
joined the Isaiah's Place team in October, 2012 as a Case Specialist and is now also a Trainer.  Nate's previous work history includes working with youth at the West Central Rehabilitation Center, the Nicolas Treatment Center in Dayton, and playing professional basketball in Europe for seven years.  Nate is originally from Landover, Maryland.  Nate double majored at the University of Dayton and received his BS in Criminal Justice and Communications Management.  Nate is the CPR and First Aid instructor, and has training in CPI and Skill Streaming. Nate is married and has three children.  In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, playing basketball and spending time with his children.




Licensing Adoption Assessor:
Abbie Patzke, Licensing Adoption AssessorAbbie Patzke joined Isaiah's Place in August 2017 to work in Licensing as an Adoption Assessor. Abbie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Cedarville University and is a Licensed Social Worker for the State of Ohio. Abbie has previous foster care experience working as a case manager in Dayton. She is pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology at Wright State University. In her free time, Abbie enjoys reading, drinking coffee, cheering on the Packers, and spending time with friends.





Ryan Thatcher, Case SpecialistCase Specialist:
Ryan Thatcher

Education: BA in Psychology from Wright State University
Experience: Miami County CSB Placement Caseworker for 17 years
Family: Married with two children and a dog
Hobbies: Train and teach martial arts/combat sport called Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Amanda Roades, Case SpecialistCase Specialist:
Amanda Roades
joined Isaiah's Place in July 0f 2017. Previously, Amanda was an ongoing caseworker with Clinton County Children Services. Amanda attended Shawnee State University and has a BA in social sciences with a concentration in legal assisting. Amanda is an active member in her church and enjoys assisting as a youth advisor for teenagers. Amanda lives on a small farm in Hillsboro. She is married and has two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys reading and outdoor activities.





Lauren Smith, Case SpecialistCase Specialist:
Lauren Smith
joined the Isaiah's Place team in September of 2017 as a Case Specialist. Lauren recently moved to Ohio from Florence, KY where she was the assistant director at a daycare. She is a 2015 graduate of Cedarville University with a BS in Social Work, and she earned her Ohio Social Work License (LSW). In her free time, Lauren likes to hang out with her family and friends, travel, read and attempt new Pinterest recipes and DIY projects.






Kristen Brubaker, Case Specialist at Isaiah's PlaceKristen Brubaker, Case Specialist
Kristen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Wright State University and is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Ohio. Her previous experience includes caseworker for Greene County Children's Services; New Horizons Ministries in Colorado, where she worked in prison ministry and foster care; and Samaritan Behavioral Health. Kristen loves the outdoors, hiking, traveling and helping the people of Haiti through missions.






Robin Myers, Data Analyst at Isaiah's PlaceRobin Myers, Data Analyst
Robin is a native of Piqua, Ohio and attended Bowling Green State University where she found her passion for logistics. Robin is proficient with Excel, enjoys analyzing data, and is skilled with all Microsoft Office programs. She creates spreadsheets and handles logistical information for Isaiah's Place. Robin and her husband Rob have two young sons. Together they enjoy sports, traveling and spending time involved with their sons' sports.
